Business Show Media is looking for ambitious and commercially driven Business Development Executives to join our expanding Sydney team.

This is an opportunity for someone with sales, recruitment, business development or other commercial experience to take the next step in their career within an international events business.

You'll be responsible for developing new business opportunities, building relationships with senior decision-makers and introducing companies to our exhibitions and sponsorship opportunities.

The Opportunity

As a Business Development Executive, you'll focus on generating new business and developing relationships with potential exhibitors and sponsors.

You'll identify prospective companies, understand their commercial objectives and present opportunities to connect with thousands of business owners and decision-makers through our events.

This is a target-driven role with uncapped commission and clear opportunities for progression.

What You'll Be Doing

• Identifying and engaging prospective exhibitors and sponsors

• Generating new business through calls, email and LinkedIn

• Building relationships with founders, directors and business owners

• Understanding commercial objectives and identifying opportunities

• Presenting exhibition and sponsorship packages

• Managing sales conversations and negotiating agreements

• Developing and maintaining your sales pipeline

• Following up with prospective clients

• Working towards individual revenue targets

• Maintaining accurate CRM records

• Collaborating with the wider commercial team

Who We're Looking For

• Previous experience in B2B sales, business development, recruitment or another target-driven environment

• Confident communicating with senior decision-makers

• Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills

• A proactive and commercially minded approach

• Resilience and accountability

• Excellent organisation and time management

• Ambition to progress into senior sales and management
